well here is Warhead since its such an easy bench to run. this is the train level using Crysis Warhead Benchmark v1.2.0.0 tool. having my cpu at 2.0 and running the gpu at 655/2200 and then 460/1600 the difference is only 2 fps average and minimum in one of the most graphically demanding games out there. remember too his cpu would be slightly slower. just like in Far Cry 2 if I had a 4850 with a cpu as slow as his I would get a bigger gain at 1280 by overclocking my cpu instead of having a faster card. it would be foolish for him to get a 4890 for that low res if he isnt able to oc his cpu.
