Folks, my other computer has a virus on it but I can't find any program that will do it's job in completely removing the bloody viruses when it detects them. Anyone know of such a program I desire?

AntiVir Personal Edition Classic (Free Edition) has an excellent detection rate according to many tests and uses little memory while real-time protection is enabled.

Also, if you are cleaning a system, you may be interested in an automatic virus / spyware removal script that launches several anti-malware tools with preconfigured settings designed to help clean your system.

SuperAntiSpyware is another good tool to run as well.

Be sure to run them all from safe mode and that they are all fully updated. After they finish, you may wish to post a hijackthis log over in the security or computer help forum to see if it is really clean.

Free avast Home Edition has both anti-virus and anti-malware protection as well as boot-time scanner. The boot-time scanner has usually better chances of removing virii and malware than real-time scanner when computer has already been infected.

They are very close according to this site. and antivir doesn't allow scanning of email messages which AVG and Avast both do.

I like Avast better, though the interface sucks on it.
