because I don't go trying diff. XYZ unknown browers that noone heard of! who knows what might be injected in the code. I only use reputable and well known browsers.

I would rather have Chrome track my usage habits than using some shady browser that might record my keylogs/logins or god knows what else
 
Looks interesting. I'll check it out later. There needs to be another browser that isn't backed by corporate interests. Corporate interests always go against user interests, and the only thing that keeps them in check is money. If someone else puts up more money than the user? Well, it sucks to be the user then...

First thoughts....

It's not a replacement for Firefox or Chromium at this point. It's a little rough around the edges, and is more like a more fully featured Midori. On the plus side, it's very light, and at least on GNU/Linux, it doesn't puke files all over your system. It works like a portable app, and it's settings stick to its own folder.

I still need to play more, but I like what I see so far. I could see using it as a portable app due to its small size and features, it won't replace Firefox for me, but I'm gonna keep my eye on it, and it has a place on my system.

You're brave for trying it out lol

As for me, I prefer big name browsers. Chrome all the way, even if they track my usage (they won't take anything PERSONAL from me)

Are there any browsers that actually do this? I thought Chrome was the worst, and that most browser designers try to be better than Chrome in that department. I don't think a browser would fly very far if it was worse than Chrome, most are aimed towards a functional (and pleasant) experience for the user, not at being a bloated tracking hog.

Ditto! Pale Moon, the best browser I've ever tried with the old retro Firefox interface out of the box + all FF addons work + always keeps up to date with the latest security updates

It's mostly being paranoid that a developer had gone corrupt to try and track your logins, personal info, etc. I doubt a good chunk of devs actually do this, but it's definitely possible and that's why I just use Chrome.

Look at the source code, and compile it yourself if your paranoid. If you were concerned, Chrome should be the last browser you use. It's proprietary software, and you can only see what it's doing by probing from the outside. It's also made by an organization that *does not* have your best interests at heart.
