You might get more responses if you edited the title to A good AMD64 motherboard. Spent a lot of time on this one myself. I don't think the current crop of 754 motherboards are all that great, at least compared to the older nForce2 Ultra I'm used to. I really like the MSI K8N Neo, but I gave up waiting for it to come out and picked up a Chaintech VNF3-250 as stop gap choice for the time being.

I'd say if you were not interested in overclocking, the Asrock k8s8x is a decent choice. At least that was the board I found most appealing to me if I were to forgo overclocking. Most of the K8T800's are good as well.

Since Anandtech selected it as an editor's choice, I would probably look at the
AOpen "AK86-L"
It uses the K8T800 and only costs $92
It does not have firewire or IDE RAID, so factor that into your analysis
An nFroce3 250 chipset motherboard that is available is the
GIGABYTE "GA-K8NS PRO"
It rings up at like $135
This is a more full featured board with IDE RAID and firewire, but I have not really seen it reviewed yet, so I don't know if it's any good.
Hope that helps.
By the way, prices are at Newegg.com

I have a Chaintech ZNF-250, which is based on the nForce3-250, and it is very nice except for the lack of BIOS updates.
