A good alternative to newegg.com?

I am close to just throwing in the towel and getting a GTS, but I do want to see if I can still pick up an 8800 GT 512MB someplace... does anyone know where one can be purchased (preferably the EVGA variety) from a reliable source, other than going directly to EVGA? Newegg doesn't have them, so I'm looking for an alternative that is reputable.

Thanks.

You get certain services from Newegg that IMO you should insure substitute offers as well:

- Emailed order confirmation after order placement
- Online real-time order status
- Same day shipping in most cases
- Emailed tracking information
- Phone support for questions/status
- Fair RMA/Return policy

My dealings with Club.IT have been awesome. Please consider them.

They have the standard EVGA GT in stock

You may also consider this. Free shipping and comes with Crysis

I hope to include the second link without triggering yet another round from the GT peanut gallery. Give it a rest folks.

Well, in the end I decided to go for the EVGA GTS from newegg for $359, bundled with Crysis. Here is my deciding factors:

I think the step-up will be useful in Feb/March of next year. The GT ($289) at Club.IT plus Crysis ($40) woulld be $329, and then I'd still need the after market cooler, which would be $30 at least. Might as well just get the GTS - better cooling, and better performance. If the 9xxx's (or ATI versions) don't ship by March, I'll still have a card that will likely last 2 years.

Sick. Thanks for the advice, folks.

i prefer newegg as well mainly b/c they are quick-shippers compared to the others. just last friday i ordered two (in-stock) hard drives from Club*T and chose 2 day fedex shipping -- they just shipped them on tuesday! :(. had i gone w/ newegg, they'd be here already!

Mwave took care of me when newegg was price gouging on the e6750. I swore that I would never go back to newegg. I kept that vow...right up until newegg had 3870's for 219.99 on launch day when everyone else was 245+. Damn you, newegg, why can't I quit you???

QFT. They have the best deal right now. And you get to buy direct from the manufacturer (which I prefer anyways)

BB is reasonably priced. $238 - 12% RZ - 4% RZMC = $215 (w/tax) for me (if they actually had one in bl**dy stock! :| )

Just an aside. NewEgg seems to have the best prices on Guild Wars expansions. Picked up Nightfall, Factions and Eye of the North from there + $9.99 Prophecies at BB = FTW! :D
