alright, so i'm getting closer to the mitsubishi 930 , anyone want to make some last suggestions? i really want a monitor which can guarantee quality/sharpness etc like the Sony CPD-G420 i currently own. does the mitsubishi have that cool autoadjust feature? like resizes the edges of your screens automatically??, its a feature on the sony cpd-g420 and its real useful.

thanx for all the input!

Hey Blazer. If you have the cash, go for the Viewsonic 19" at .21mm. I didn't have the money so I had to settle with a refurbished HP 930. It is a 19" flat CRT at .24mm. I like it and have been using it for 9 months now. Got it for less than $100 off the internet, southern cali retailer.

do u have the model number for that Viewsonic 19" at .21mm ??? , yea money not an issue for me, just want a good 19" monitor 🙂

Yes but the naviset software sets it much better and quick using test patterns and a few clicks of the mouse.

Just an update:

I got a replacement Viewsonic P95f+, and this one is much more clear than the other.

I am currently running 1600 x 1200 @ 75 Hz, and it is looking great.

I talked to the guy at the store, and he montined that lately it seems like CRT quality has gone down quite dramatically (but so have prices). After reading reviews of many monitors, it certainly seems like the quality is fairly low (one monitor will be fine, but another of the same type will be poopy).

Anyhow, I would definitely recommend purchasing a monitor from a local store, so if you don't like the way it looks, you can take it back without having to pay shipping. Also, you may be able to have them open it up at the store (which is what I did the second time) so I could see the actual monitor I would be taking home.

-D'oh!

My DiamondTron (DP91) has lasted me 4+ years with absolute no problems with performance. Running at 1600x1200 at 85hz........AWESOME performance. Have got nothing but compliments on it at LAN parties.....and personally havent seen a crisper/clearer/sharper image on any CRT.

thanx all!

Viewsonics are good choices for the price.......you have to pay a premium for the greatness of the Mitsubishi/NEC
