Here's the deal. The Egyptians invented the world's best note-taking device about 6000 years ago. It's called paper.

I've tried taking notes electronically and the stupid machine (I've tried several, from tablet PCs to the iPad) keeps getting in my way. Just stick to paper/pencil, you'll even do better in your classes without a distraction box in front of you.

F**k iPad and Tablet PC. LiveScribe Pulse Smartpen (http://www.livescribe.com/) and paper FTW if you're at all serious about taking notes and studying.
 
I will judge you. The iPad is just another underfunctional, overpriced piece of apple eye candy. For the same exact price, you could get the touchscreen Lenovo IdeaPad which not only has almost double the computing power, but it also has a full OS instead of a modified phone OS.
That Lenovo isn't going to play any decent games like the ipad will. I played that racing game they have and it runs very well.
