A friend of mine's brother just got got hacking into his school's system. They moved to another school when my friend was in eleventh grade and his brother was a couple of years younger. I knew he was a script kiddie and now he's about to pay the price.

A Daphne teenager is in hot water after sheriff's deputies say he hacked into the Baldwin County Board of Education's computer system. The 16-year old has been expelled from Daphne High School and will be arrested on felony charges later this week. Investigators say the boy hacked into the school system by using a computer at home and at school. "He's a very smart, intellectual kid and he hacked into the system as sort of an intellectual challenge," says Sgt. Tony Nolfe with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. "He bragged about what he did to a couple of students, showing them he could delete files and shut down servers." School officials say although there was a security breach...no files, including student grades, were compromised or changed. "It's very sad when a student chooses to use such a brilliant mind for something so malicious," says school spokesman Terry Wilhite. Detectives say the teen hacker also hacked into nearly 50 other computer systems in school districts across the South.
