A friendly reminder to KEEP THAT XMAS TREE MOIST!!!

Yeah I posted this last year.

The important thing is the chronometer at the bottom. A dry tree really does go up that fast like a guncotton fuse. Pretty scary to have something like that in your house for shore.

In just fifteen seconds, a violent convection wind sets the stage swirling superheated air about the room charring and igniting furniture and everything in its path. Most plastics will smoke and the smoke is drawn closer to the fire and flashes back to the bubbling resin spreading quickly. It takes on a life of its own and will kill fast.

Be safe for the holidays!

Cheers!

my dad has shown me some crazy fire videos since he is a sells for Fire Protection supplies. He gets all kinds of videos on Fire Sprinklers and how much they help etc.

a Fire Sprinkler will allow 5 more minutes or something like that to escape a building than without one.

and 5 minutes is a long ass time.

wow, that is amazing.

I never imagined the whole room would go that quick. If that happened in somebody's home I doubt they could think clearly enough to get out.

You can even see the level of the smoke and how crawling or covering with blankets could work.

To that point I still don't understand why homes don't have sprinkler systems. It couldn't cost THAT much more to have them.
