This is his first time building a computer. Here are the specs...

AMD 64 4400+
MSI K8N Neo2-F
Corsair XMS 1g
400gWD SATA
400w PSU

He gets this error when he boots. He can boot into BIOS. Could he be the HD?

Any suggestions? anyone?

I'm going to slap my friend. I should have realized he didn't know as much as I thought he did about computers.

He had his boot sequence set to...

Floppy
HD
CD rom

He had no floppy in. A driver CD, and nothing is loaded on the HD.

he's looking for his windows CD now. I'm assuming this could cause the error. Right? lol...

Haha. Too bad the new floppies aren't as noisy as they used to be, or he would have heard that sucker's head moving.
