It's like a salmon swimming upstream.

Most of the media sources have pinned it all on Bush and FEMA and have said little to nothing negative about the main cause of the post hurricane disaster, the state and local governments.

Rather sad, actually.

The best I've ever had were either from Coney Island (fast food hot dog chain in Tulsa) or from the street vendor at 11 pm after a concert.

Heard this as well. But don't go to p&n with this stuff, they will tan your hide. All you will get from most is a "Bush is teh devil" response.

I've got no great love for Bush...but I find the above presented scenario much more plausible than the "teh bush made the hurricanes to get oil from the terrorists" or whatever is cooked up. Bush is a dumbass, but he's not surrounded by dumbasses...which is more than I can say for what the LA state government likely consists of.

To answer the topic at hand, only BBQ dogs are any good...any other cooking method and they are just crap. I've had good luck with ballpark.

Ugh, hotdogs make me want to puke. I ate so many of them when I was a kid. I don't know, maybe we were poor, maybe my mom was lazy, but it sure as hell seems like that's all we ever ate. Even the smell of them make me want to gag.

I fvcking hate them, almost as much as P&N discussions.

The baseball stadium has buck night every once and a while where you can get hotdogs, peanuts, and small sodas for one dollar. This kid sitting behind us was choking down is 11th dog looking like he was about to puke. I gave him my empty cup and said "If you're going to spew, spew in this".

Has anyone ever eaten those hot dogs that are like 10% meat and 90% red dye? I've always wondered what the deal was with those. Do they taste like real hot dogs?

Oh man, I forgot about chedder dogs. Those are pretty good, except the first bite is always dangerous because 50% of the time it shoots scalding hot cheese out onto your cheek.

Hebrew National makes a low-fat dog that is actually quite yummie. Oscar Mayer low-fat dogs are rather gross. Costco dogs are yummie, but I feel myself getting fat after eating just one of those.

One of my favorite parts of going to a baseball game is getting a hotdog. It's the only time I eat them.
