Now that I'm just about moved in (Tempe, AZ), I'll have control over my diet and workout schedule. No more traveling, so a gym schedule will be consistent and I'll add in rock climbing and martial arts soon too. Due to the whole moving thing, I pretty much decided to give up on the gym for the last 2-3 weeks (maybe like 2-3 times in the last month, ugh). I've been to Lifetime twice already and I'm much more sore than I usually am.

What I want to know is if anyone who's in fairly good shape has tried any fat burners recently? I'm not fat and looking to shed 50 pounds - I'm 5'11", 26-years old, 163lb and in pretty good condition. I'm looking to get some help losing ~5 pounds of fat and then I'll probably swing back up to 165 by summer's end. With it being summer and me being in AZ, this last little bit is for the beach body, along with vacations to NYC, Pittsburgh (cousin's wedding) and Vegas at summer's end.

I've read through a few threads on bodybuiding.com and there isn't a real consensus, but Lipo 6 is well regarded. Animal Cuts, MAN Arson and one other 5-letter product seem to be good too. Suggest away! Flame away too, I'm sure a few of those'll come.

Also, if you have any favorite breakfasts and snacks, include those, I'll need lots of ideas for good quality, high protein, quick meals. I'll have a full kitchen with blender and Magic Bullet at work too, so tasty shakes will be easy.

Thanks all.

Wording of your post made it look like you WANT to loose 50 pounds. Until I read it fourth time, I was like ...wait you wanna be 113 lb?

Forget fat burners. Good diet and some cardio (diet more important) will lose the 5 lb.

Boooooooo "proper diet" and "cardio", I want it NOOOOOOOOW.

lol, my diet will be fine and cardio will be in the mix. I just want to experience the magic of chemistry. Maybe I should just call up my meth dealer again...;)

I've heard a lot of good things about lipo6 but have not used it for myself. Take a look at it.

5 lbs should be nothing... you should be able to lose that in a couple weeks.

It doesn't have to stop at 5 pounds...it's more so how I look than a number. If it really produces good results then I might just keep going until it plateaus or I'm content.

I dropped from 175 to 163 in 6 weeks with a reduced calorie diet and a 10 mile increase in my weekly run schedule. I've upped my protein and lipid intake (and calories by about 200/day) and maintained the same workout schedule (strength/core 3xweek and cardio 5x/week) and have increased my weight back up to 166 in the last month. When I get my new bike and resume my bike workouts I'll probably burn my way back down to 160 or so while maintaining most of the muscle mass I've added recently.

Sound like what you want to do Yoda? It's simple, you get what you pay for. In this case, I'm paying with diligence and effort not money on chemicals.

Screw diligence! hehe, just kidding. I'm a little apprehensive about using anything more than protein powder, so we'll see. Just researching my options.

I've taken Lipo-6. It worked well as far as appetite suppression goes, but it made me jittery and anxious (although, you could say that I don't tolerate stimulants too well). Just don't expect miracles.

you'll lose the 5lbs by incororating HIIT into your cardio program 2-3x a week. I really started to drop lbs since i started doing HIIT once a week and basketball every week.

Since I've started back in april i went from 220lbs to a low of 211 just yesterday. I'm consistently around 213 - 214lbs after eating.

That coupled with the fact that you live in Arizona, you'll lost the pounds fast through sweat alone.
