Ok so after I cleaned the contacts with a wire-mesh and decided to check the voltage on the battery nia variety of situations.

When the car is off..the battery reads about 11V....then I turn the car on (first time by jump starting it) and then it reads a constant of about 14.5V....then after a while I turn the car off..and the battery reads 13V and dropping with the car off.

Then again I check the battery and it reads 11V.

I think the battery is not holding the charge..am I right?

Yes, you need a new battery.

Don't buy one made by Exide or you'll be screwed. They're crap. I've heard the Walmart batteries made by Johnson Controls are decent enough. Sears Die Hard Silver and Gold are definitely good, and so are Interstate and Delco batteries.
