A few questions for those familiar with Dell's return/exchange policies.

For my birthday my mom bought one of those 19" LCD TVs. It's the actual TV model with built-in tuner and speakers. I already have a tuner card for one of my PCs, so I told her I'd be better off exchanging/returning it and picking up a couple regular 19" monitors, and still have some of her money left over.

So my questions are these, since she purchased this just a week ago or so, returning it shouldn't be a problem, correct?

Will I be able to do this if I have all the proper information, or will she have to do it herself?

If I returned it would I get cash? Dell credit? My option?

I'm going to call them up tomorrow and find out the details, just wondering if anyone has any similar experience that I can go on.

just call dell up and make sure you have the order number, etc. i'm sure they will credit her back and you'll have to take it from there. you might have to have your mother do it, but don't delay because dell has a 14-day satisfaction guarantee or something.

Yeah, I want to get this taken care of soon because I'd love two 19" LCDs sitting on my desk. I hope they let me take care of it just so she doens't have to mess with it anymore. But if she finds out I'm saving her a couple hundred bucks I'm sure she won't complain. :)
