I can't seem to find answers anywhere, so I figured I'd pose them to you fine people.

What are the main differances between home and pro?

Is one better than the other for gaming and/or photo editing? (my main two activities)

Is it necessary to buy the retail version, is the OEM version any different?

The main differences are that Pro supports Dual CPUs and can join domains. It has more networking features as well.

There's no difference in performance as far as gaming and photo editing goes and there's no difference between the retail and OEM versions.

normally you cannot buy OEM, that why they call OEM(comes with machine)
you can only buy retail box version.
OEM no technical support , but reatil include some technical support.
