I've found a TON of great stuff from thrift stores and rummage sales. My wife likes to go to places like GoodWill and similar because she can often find brand new designer clothes for cheap. I've found:

- HP Color laser printer - $5
- Cast iron pans '40s-'50s vintage: $1 each
- Grill attachments: under $5

Best find- Fender Nashville Power Telecaster Deluxe: $35. It had all the wiring hanging out. Just needed put back together. Keep it in my office to play during lunch and it's a great guitar!

Nice! I just installed another Hi-Def NES in one of those a couple days ago. LMK if you ever decide to take the plunge and need someone to install it. :)

I'd probably be more inclined to install it myself, but I'll keep that in mind :)

Removing two 40-pin DIP chips can be a pain - especially the legs connecting to ground planes, which act as a heat sink while you're trying to get the solder hot enough to melt. Anyway, we've probably done 10+ Hi-Def NES installs now (and hundreds of UltraHDMI for N64), so we've got the process down pat :)

Goodwill is ok. I go thrifting with my Mom like once a week just for the heck of it.

I've found some clothes there, but they raised the prices (used to be able to get decent t-shirts for $1.50 on sale or $3 when not, now its like double that if not higher) so that's less worth it and their t-shirts in particular seem worse (stretched out collars, poor fit), some even outright stained or have holes.
.
I bet YouTube is responsible for the price hike. Lots of female YouTubers making thrifting videos showing off their thrift store haul/outfits. Must be pushing traffic to stores and making Goodwill not so desperate to unload clothing.

I got tons of camping gear, A bunch of duel fuel and some Vietnam era gasoline heaters, lanterns and stoves. My kitchen knives are amazing. All Henckels twins, Wusthof , victorinox and some cutco ( I like their table knives )

I havent paid more than 4.99 for any of it and some of the stuff cost $100's

Only things I've gotten so far at our local 're-use' centers are some actually nice full-tang kitchen knives (gotta peruse them over weeks to really find the good stuff, like 50c each), a nice metal spatula (a dollar?), and a heavy duty plastic two-wheeled wheelbarrow ($10). Keeping my eye out for good stuff though, if I was after appliances or kitchen stuff I'd definitely be spending more time there.
