I find it amusing that you ask people for their opinion on your drawings, but when they say something negative, you get all defensive and start insulting others.

I find the sketches to be mediocre. I think they need some work so that they look a bit more balanced.

atleast yours is constructive, these ppl just say I copy the good ones and the mediocre ones suck. What kind of crap is that?

Casio,

I'm going to be honest with you. The sketches are ok. They are ok copy-jobs. And they may be from memory and drawn freehand, but to my eye they are mere memorizations of how certain body parts look, then thrown together. If you really want to get better, you need to develop a better understanding of the human body. You need to let your pencil flow and your shapes need to be more "connected." Work on proportion, and really study how parts of the body are affected by certain movements and poses.

I take a "life drawing" class every week where there is a model and you draw different poses for two hours. Everything is drawn from life (no photos) and poses range from 30-seconds to 20-minutes. Here is some of my work:

http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/7453/14tc6.jpg <- 20-min
http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/6981/11fq7.jpg <- 5-min

I'm 17 years old btw. Attending a fine arts school this fall.

well considering I never went to school or studied this (aside of watching cartoons, reading comics) I just draw what I see in my head and get better the longer I do it. Also, all comics look thrown together, that's the style. I'm no Devart crazy mofo, I need more shading techniques and if you ink, it's gonna look thrown together. Pencil is the only way to smooth it out.

you know in flash if you convert it to vector graphics, it will give a similar effect in seconds.

You know, actually drawing it in vector graphics vs. using quick-ass techniques is what seperates us, right? Sure, I could take the pictures into photoshop and have something similar in minutes, but what the hell would that prove other than showing that I know where the filter menu is?

in the real world kid, time is money. BUt you wouldn't know anything about that.

In the real world, I have a job doing this stuff and you don't. So shut it. If you had any idea about this stuff you'd know that using filters and converting from raster to vector is a world of difference unless the picture is SOLELY for on-screen usage. You'd also know that it takes a degree of skill to do detailed drawings in vector and that when you can do them, it shows a great deal of achievement over chumps who use a series of filters for lame-ass effects. But you wouldn't know anything about that.

And for the record, these took very little time to do.

dude no web development company would ever hire you with that crap. You don't even know who you are talking too. My flash interfaces rocked this forum a few years ago. 1200 views and only a couple jealous trash talkers like you saying anything about it. I'll link in a few minutes.

Eits, Juno, after seeing who was critisizing me, I now feel better, seeing the crap you just posted. Lets not talk about art lessons. I've been sketching for a couple weeks now. It just takes time. Only tools like you pay to learn how to draw.

Casio do a side by side view of your first sketch and his picture and then say it sucks.
