Sinik, I say get the Samsung 830. The OCZ drives are fast but they're not that reliable. Intel's Ssds are really reliable but you sacrifice speed. The Samsung 830 seems to be a good mix. I have a Samsung made SSD now and it's been reliable.

What he said!

Very fast: Vertex III (or Sandforce 2 drives)
Very Reliable: Intel
Fast and Reliable: Samsung or Crucial m4

As a personal choice, I rather opt for reliability above all, unless drive's speed is pathetic. I am too lazy to fiddle with OS re-installation, RMA and whatnot so I opted for Intel SSDs and m4. Also, torture tests from xtremesystems.org show that Intel drives can take a very solid beating so that and Intel's 5 year warranty on 320 drives is what I wanted.

For speed, I don't really care, the difference between HD and SSD is gigantic, but I can't tell the difference between my Intel 320 and Crucial m4.

Great, this finally helps me out more, i think i'll go for a vertex3 then and hope i'll be a lucky person then. if it doesn't work out well for me, i will just send it back and get the crucial m4. (the site i buy it from says that if you are not pleased with your product you can send it over and change your product.

the vertex3 is also cheaper than the crucial m4...

You just made me happy, my Intel 320 120GB should be here tomorrow or Friday and I was kinda worried about speed not being up to par for my first SSD. Now, not so much...

I know you sent me a PM asking for some advice but this is the first chance I've had to do some posting.

My advice would not differ from Smartazz or ed29a. I've just bought a Samsung 830 128GB and it's mega.
