A fan controller that goes in the back of the case only...is there one?

I checked on Newegg but I did not see one...anyone know where I can grab one...I'd rather not get one for a front bay...

Are you talking about a "baybus" type device that controls more than one fan, or are you talking about just a single rheostat for a single fan?

I have seen a few fans with a speed control mounted onto a PCI slot cover.

Most probably, you can buy a rheostat type kit, drill an appropriate-sized hole in a PCI cover and just mount the rheostat in there. Lengthening the wires, if need be, is an easy enough process.

I have never seen a multiple-device controller made for a single PCI slot cover space.

Yeah, I am looking for one that fits in a PCI cover slot...it can control one fan or it can control 50 fans...I just need to it control my Vantec Tornado that sits atop my Thermalright SP-97...

I got one with my volcano 11. I'm not using it since it also came with front bay controller. Let me know.

Alot of Tt HSF units (like Gravity pointed out) come with rear and front rheostats. I got two with a Venus 12. I'm sure many other manufacturers do this as well.

Those TT controllers only work with TT fans FYI. They adjust resistance (I measured) from 0 ohms to an open connection meaning adjusting a normal fan with one is next to impossible because as soon as you move the dial off max, the fan stops.

I replaced the fan on my Venus 12 with an 80mm L1A and I modded the pci controller that it came with to use a molex connector and when I tried it I was like wtf cuz as soon as I turned the knob like 5% of the way down the fan turned off. That's when I measured it.

The nice part about those fans/controllers is that they can attenuate the voltage/fanspeed from nearly silent all the way to hurricane on the TT fans which isn't the case with 7v or even 5v pots on some high-speed fans.

Only works with a Thermaltake fan? That is some bullshit...I ordered one last night so I guess I will see what happens...
