3 Generations Accused Of Lodi Shoplifting Group Suspected Of Taking $900 In Merchandise

POSTED: 2:39 pm PST January 22, 2008
UPDATED: 2:52 pm PST January 22, 2008

LODI, Calif. -- A grandmother, mother and grandchildren were all arrested earlier this week on suspicion of shoplifting at a Lodi Target store, police said.

Officer Misty Smith said the group is accused of taking about $900 worth of digital music players, DVDs, cameras and other items from the West Kettleman Lane store on Monday.

Smith said those arrested include 59-year-old Linda Robinson of Stockton and her 36-year-old daughter, Anna Fernandez. They face charges of burglary, grand theft, vandalism and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Two teenage boys said to be Fernandez's sons were also arrested. Another teen not related to the family was also arrested.

Police said two of Fernandez's other young children were present, but will not face charges.

I saw that on last night's news. (I live about 40 miles from Lodi) The pics shown on the news certainly make them look like the very definition of trash...apparently, even a 5 year old had a pack of gum that he had stolen...
I hope they lock them up and lose the key, and maybe even force sterilization on the adults...time to start bleaching the gene pool...

She can't post anything specific, but here are some excuses she's heard.

I just forgot to pay for the 300.00 of stuff that was crammed under my baby carriage.
I am a high ranking member of a certain church I wouldn't steal I just forgot.
When I tried the shirt on I forgot I had it on and walked out .
I am getting my lawyer x 10000 .

My name is Joan doe and I live at 678 main st. Mam there isn't a 678 main street in our city.

Even though I walked in with Fred and walked around with him for 30 minutes talking to him and was standing there when Fred stole and walked out and tried to get into the same car as fred I am not an accomplice it's just a kid I met 5 minutes ago. I don't even know who he is.

ETC ETC

BTW if you to steal don't bring in a bag from a store in another Mall 25 miles away and stuff your crap in it, when this mall doesn't even have that certain store. It's kinda a giveaway.

Also don't stare at the camera and look nervous for 10 minutes before you walk out with the cologne.
