A Duron Problem

I have a 750 mhz Duron by default and I am running it on a Epox 8KTA3+ motherboard. I have unlocked the processor, but every time I try to set the multipiler higher then 8.5 it just posts at 7.0 as the multipler. Does anyone know why this is happening?

It will boot at 8.0 though? So you're sure you've unlocked it properly. That's weird, that board goes to 12.5x doesn't it?
