Got this error after doing some work on my PC and trying to boot to my Windows 2000 C: drive. Happens right after POST. The drive is detected properly, but it never gets to Windows.

Any suggestions, or am I SOL?

Thanks,

You can try booting with a BOOTDISK and doing the FDISK /mbr
to fix the MASTER BOOT Record.

If that doesn't do it, the Partition table may be damaged.

You can also try doing a Repair by booting with the Win2k CD
and choosing Repair (rarely works though).

FDISK/ MBR still works with NT OS's. Try a repair, it has worked for me, once.

I ended up booting with my Win2K CD, and using the repair console.

Thanks for the help ... I'm up and running again.
