How do get around product activation for Windows XP?.... Kidding, kidding...
I want to set up a 3 box lab in my place to try out various networking technologies, including Windows domain stuff. Will I run into any license problems using the 120-day trials of 2000 server and Office XP from Microsoft? Obviously, I can install these, but I'm thinking more about Client Access Licenses and Terminal Services Licenses. I just don't want to buy the hardware for extra machines and find out that access licenses will keep me from actually setting up and learning about the various services. On a similar note, is there any way to get a trial/eval version of XP pro to test out domain logons and AD? Some searching seems to indicate that MS doesn't offer any kind of trial on the client OS's, but perhaps I'm not looking in the right place. Could I just use one regular copy of XP Pro on client machines and never activate it without losing any network functionality?
