A Desktop CPU with Banais IPC and P4 ClockSpeed

Intel needs to make a Desktop CPU with Banais massive IPC that can reach speeds of over 3 GHZ. Can you imagin a Pentium-M that was 3 GHZ. That thing would be blazing fast. This is what Intel needs to make.

i doubt they are it hard to get high ipc + high clock speeds in a design
but yeah those things kick ass on seti

i think there's two ways to skin an apple: high clock speed or high ipc
the P4 is definately the former

High IPC = smaller pipelines.

Smaller pipelines = less clockability.

So unfortunately its contradictory :(

Why settle for that? Why not shoot for 6ghz???
