bah, mexican americans would be better off if none of em drove around in cars with big ass mexican flags on them. that generates a lot of disgust. seriously, i see em like once a month:p its like why the f*ck are you here if you are so proud of mexico. if ur going to stay, be an american, if not, go the f*ck home.

I hope that is sarcasm. If not, I am absolutely dumbfounded by your ignorance.

WOW, anglo-conformity at its best! Nice attitude...It makes for a very enjoyable society, I'm sure...
as opposed to what, japanese non-conformity?
How about as opposed to a society where people (not all, of course) are generally accepting of other people's desires to hold on to their original cultures?

Okay, how about we get a few million (few being conservative) to move to mexico and wave the american flag off of every car we bring with us?

1) I don't think every mexican does it.

2) What's wrong with a little bit of national pride? Surely Americans can understand that.

OK, so the opportunities in Mexico for this immigrant were not there, and they moved to the US because of it. Are you telling me that there aren't flag-waving americans in other countries who are there for the same reasons the mexicans are in the US?

How about if your moving to another culture you adopt its beliefs and ways? Or stay right where you are. A mixed culture is NOT good in any way shape or form for a country.

Devolutionary forces? Not that I'm doubting you can do it, but I think you're going to have to explain to me how acceptance is a devolutionary force.

I understand that, but why should someone be told to "get the f*ck out" if they don't want to disconnect themselves from their roots?

Did you not read my post? Because its unhealthy for a country to attempt to cater to all nationalities and beliefs that way. If you want to live here fine, but learn out culture and adopt it rather then expecting us to cater to you.
unfortunately, thats not how it works.

Yeah, having pride in the country which you reap the benefits of by living there is certainly a good idea; i'm glad you thought of it.

Why is it so bad that someone has a Mexican flag on their car? I don't think it's a big deal...I see Irish flags on cars...how come nobody ever complains about that? Hmmm...

the US is hardly a multi-national state.

plus, we do have the civil war, which involved quite a bit of proto-nationalism on the southern side.

I could care less if all the Mexicans were gone tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll take the Blacks and the Jews and the Dentists with them...hehehe.

It's not so much the Mexican flag waving that's the problem, it's the complete lack of US flag waving. There's nothing wrong with celebrating your roots. However, their is a BIG problem with having no American pride when you live here.

Of course not every Mexican is this way; however, many are. Don't believe me? Come visit my old high school for a day...

Is it really that much of a bother to you, these things? Or is it because it's, "unhealthy for a country?"
