Its still a Civic.

I don't understand why no one ever says "it's still a smelly, ratty looking car from the 60s/70s"

anyone that has a car from the 60s or 70s still working well and doing 10s probably doesn't have a smelly and/or ratty looking one.

You obviously weren't at the track I was at.

At anyrate, imo cars that old are inherently ratty no matter how much you spit polish them. The body gaps are huge and build quality is horrible.

I went to the track today too. Drag strip though. There were so many fixed up civics and most of them were quick. 13s, 14s, 15s.

This one civic on slicks lined it up with this obscene looking classic muscle car. The muscle car got the jump on the civic. But then the civic started pulling even harder and ran away. The civic went 11.8 and the muscle car did 12.3. It was so insane, everyone stood up to watch. Talk about turbo lag. That civic was the second fastest car there. There was another muscle car that ran like 10.8

An old school Talon or Eclipse can do 11's with a 5 dollar mod....

You're stupid as hell too. Just thought I would let you know.

I have to agree. I don't understand why people like old cars.

Most of the old muscle cars have more style in their rear fender than a majority of the crap on the road today. All your modern day performance was built on by those smelly old rattly cars. They are a blast to drive and give you a great feeling of nostalgia.

Not 5 bucks, but about a grand will do. Get catblack, air cone, boost controller/boost gauge and AFC an you'll hit 12s. Spend another 5-6 hundret on a bigger turbo and you get 11s

Nice pics, how do you take the ones where everything is blurred except the car when it's moving?

That high-pitched nasally whine made by those rice burning vehicles gives me a headache. I prefer the throaty growl of old Detroit muscle.

I am pretty familiar with DSMs. Why do you think I told him he was stupid?
