Alas though, the day did not end without a casualty. RIP Dinan M3

hmm i don think its total,
if its an all out race car, all they gotta do is straighten the sheetmetal back up since the x point cage should hold the stuctural parts in the place

straighten the sheet metal? Dude, the frame is bent, every panel is damaged (fenders, doors, quarter-panels, hood, roof, trunk) and all glass un-usable, the car had 6" of standing water in it, and the motor is looking to be totalled out. Not quite as easy as you make it sound

I went to the track today too. Drag strip though. There were so many fixed up civics and most of them were quick. 13s, 14s, 15s.

This one civic on slicks lined it up with this obscene looking classic muscle car. The muscle car got the jump on the civic. But then the civic started pulling even harder and ran away. The civic went 11.8 and the muscle car did 12.3. It was so insane, everyone stood up to watch. Talk about turbo lag. That civic was the second fastest car there. There was another muscle car that ran like 10.8

I don't understand why no one ever says "it's still a smelly, ratty looking car from the 60s/70s"
