lolololol

I had an English class 4 years ago that was based on this book:

http://books.google.com/books?id=hC...resnum=18&ved=0CH4Q6AEwEQ#v=onepage&q&f=false

The (very liberal) English professor used it as a means of teaching critical thinking and writing.
At first, I balked at using such revisionist crap as the vehicle for teaching...then I realized, I didn't have to agree with everything she said, NOR did I have to write my essays in agreement with the subject...I merely had to learn how to write using the subject matter.
Some of my essays definitely raised her eyebrows...and a couple of them made her mad as hell...but in spite of our differences, I made "A's" on all my essays. She graded solely on writing technique, grammar, punctuation, and style...not on opinion nor whether she agreed with me on my opinions.

She and I became pretty good friends during that class. She taught me a great deal about writing and English in general. For that, I'll always thank her.

Was she hot?

I've always wondered what people do with Ethnic studies degrees. One of my wifes friends has a son who will be graduating this June with a BA in African American Studies.
He could get a job as a black man 🙂

As others have said, not everyone goes to school just to get a job. Ballers like me will spend four years learning just to say we did it.

What would be really funny is if the OP were baiting a response from us white folks who harbor slightly racist tendencies by just mentioning "ethnic studies" in ATOT. He would have a dandy ol' time analyzing the loads of useful data already contributed to this thread then compiling his research into a "criticism" of the Caucasian race.

I'm pretty sure a "critical assessment of the Caucasian race" would entail analyzing the formation of white racial identity, not actually criticizing white people. "Whiteness" is actually a very interesting topic, considering that Jews, Italians, Irish, and other immigrant groups were all at one point not considered "white." It's a mutable social construct with a definition that has changed considerably over time.

i would only do that if i wasnt caucasion

Perhaps, but you must dig deeper to truly understand history: A white man no doubt owned his mother, so . . . 😱

While true a white man did own his mother as his parents were slaves, if you really want to know history, a black man is responsible for true slavery in the new world. Anthony "A Negro" Johnson.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Johnson_(colonist)

The irony is he was the 1st slave owner a plantation owner, but upon his death was ruled not a citizen so a white farmer could take his plantation. History isn't as black and white as people make it out to be.

You must prove your caucasion claim.

Mac n Cheese and Spam
-or-
Chicken and Waffles

who the fuck would pick spam over waffles

I can't blame black people for liking the food they stereotypically like - cornbread, fried chicken, and waffles are delicious! Beats the hell out of shitty church basement casseroles and spamburgers.
