When you buy a Wii does it have both controllers in the box, or do I need to buy a 2nd one separate? Also, does it come with any memory cards?

If you want someone to play against or co-op with you on the same console. Yes, a 2nd controller is a must. Unless someone brings one over, since so many people have wii's now.

It also depends on the game as some games, like bowling, everyone takes turns so you can use the same one.

Played around on one over the holidays and the wife liked the bowling game so I've been thinking of picking up one also. It's the only game besides 1 vs 100 that she has even showed any interest in playing.

The Wii comes with one Wii Remote and one Nunchuck. For the most part, you should consider a combination of Wii Remote and Nunchuck to mean one Wii controller. Some games require only the Wii Remote to play, but most of them require you to have a Wii Remote and Nunchuck per person.

Grab a Wii and grab Wii Play with the wiimote. Then you will only need a nunchuck to purchase separately.

I did this due to lack of stock on wiimotes during the holidays. I would suggest just going to walmart.com and ordering the $50 combo (wiimote and nunchuck). Wii Play is not worth the $10 imo.
