Just replaced my BX Master with a BE6-2 due to compability problems with a Promise Fasttrack ATA100 RAID PCI controller.

1. I'm running 2 x IBM ATA100 disks on a Promise ATA100 RAID PCI card in RAID 0. Everything works great but i'm not using the Highpoint onboard chip. Is there a way to disable that blue startup highpoint config screen everytime i boot up my computer?

2. I have had a 3Com NIC for some time now, used it on several mobos but when i installed it on this mobo i get a few messages everytime when i boot my comp up. First: Initializing MBA and then: Press N to boot from network. Both those messages are annoying and cost me bootup time. Is there some settings in BIOS i can do to make them go away?

3. Is there a way to get more values in BIOS then 1.9 volt on cpu voltage? I'm using 800E Slot 1 chip.

4. Havent installed my Soundblaster live card yet but i have tried! Get the bluescreen in every empty PCI slot. Cant even install it. Help!

5. Whats the most stable and latest BIOS for this mobo?

Thanks...

Highpoint controller can be disabled in BIOS. Not sure which screen, but I've done it before and the Highpoint boot screen disappeared. Poke around the BIOS, its in there somewhere, although it is not referred to as "Highpoint Controller" ... something like "future controller" or something like that.

Good luck.

Ahhh! very nice. Thanks. Blue screen is gone and boot up time is getting fast. Just the NIC problem left.

Try switching the NIC to another slot. My Abit is very picky about how i put my cards in, but works fine when done right. Ive always used the latest bios due to lockups in large file transfers-hpt 366 ctlr is a pain.
