A couple of automotive questions about repairs.

I own a 95 Grand Prix SE. It's front wheel drive. A couple of questions.

I'm in need of a front-end alignment really bad. How much should this cost me? How much is too much?

Also, my dash lights are going out one by one. How much, in your experience, would it cost to get my dash lights replaced? What is involved with doing this, and how long would it take? I'd assume the dash would need to be taken off.

Thanks for any info you guys can give.

I jsut had a front end alignment a few weeks ago, cost me $40. As for the dash lights, i dont know of any shops that would do that kind of work. Might be a DIY job.

Of course they would take the job. They're going to shaft you on labor, though.

I'd expect the alignment to be $50+-10. I think most shops would replace dash lights but I would only bring the car to a place that will have the bulbs in stock unless you buy them in advance and they are willing to use them (many shops won't install parts that weren't purchased from them).

Front wheel drive cars need a full four wheel alignment. Anyone who tells you differently is hoping to sell you tires when yours wear funny because of the alignment problem.
