Me: Ahh that's cool, I guess putting up an ad for Corvette rentals in a Canadian Automobile Association magazine and not having a single one in Ontario (the most populated province) makes perfect sense.

How did you speak this?

The words in the bracket? I didn't over the phone, that's just for you guys and my thought process at the time.

French Canadians cancel out anything in our deep South.

I don't know man, French Canadians are as close to Europeans as Canada can get. Obviously Europeans are the most intelligent people in the world 😉

(Degrees F - 32) * 5/9 = Degrees C

Yo man I'm really bad at math, break that down for me 😀

On the downside Ill never experience a Corvette I guess 🙁 Man I was this close 🙁

If you don't need an exact conversion, here's what you do.

Take the degree in F, subtract 32
Divide the result in half, and add a few degrees.

Eg, let's say it's 82 F
82 - 32 = 50
50 / 2 = 25
So 82 is about equal to 27C

The actual result is 27.78C. You can also Google for an exact number: Type "82f in c" into Google (without the quotes) and it will do the conversion.

French Canada is the best Canada.

English Canadians can suck it.

Yep, they are so good they should just go form their own god damned country and stop bitching about the rest of us, even though we help fund their fucking existence. :disgust:

Why can't your dad order stuff by the pound like normal people. WTF is wrong with you people ordering stuff in metrics.
I think because 1lb is too much, and 0.3lbs is just enough for a week's worth of sandwiches for lunch, without any left over.

Wow, so sad. I was an optimist but once I started working, that belief went to hell. People are so dumb, I worry about our future.

yes, because the person working the telephones for Hertz in Alabama is going to one day be running the country.

How is a pound too much? I consume Wendy's 3/4th pound Tripples ez mode. Man you guys are cheap, my sandwiches contain at least half a pound of meat in them, good quality too like turkey or roast beef.

Hey, everyone is special, everyone can be anyone they want to be, isn't that what's being taught in schools these days?

😉

Remember, it's not being retarded anymore, it's having "exceptionalities".

common convention seems to be quarter pound, half pound, and 1+ pounds. anything in between just seems like a weirdly specific amount to order.

Sunday BBQ, steaks.

I love how this thread went from my convo on the phone to how much meat we consume 😀 awesome!

I rented a Lotus Elise in San Diego a couple years ago, we never got into discussing weather or geography though...I feel so empty. 🙁

I can't speak for him, but usually I make sandwiches with 2-3 different types of meat.

Other fun stuff:

My dad once asked someone at a deli for something like "Three tenths of a pound" of whatever it was he wanted.

The person there looked confused and said, "It doesn't come in tenths of a pound."

The scale's readout: xx.xx lbs.

And that's why this person is only qualified to work at a deli counter.
