A completly unpartisan comment about Bill O'Riley

Watching the (facinating btw.) debate between O'Riley and Kurdeman, I note that the O'Riley show goes to great length to hide his huge bald spot 😀

It's also no wonder he rarely does an interview in the studio. I thought he was going to poke one of Krugman's eyes out when he kept sticking his finger in the poor guy's face.

I wasn't paying attention to O'Reilly's bald spot during this interview, but did pay attention at the way Kurdeman kept talking under his breath trying to deny comments O'Reilly was making. O'Reilly aside, Kurdeman is a real tool.

While I side closer to Kurdeman then O'Riley (I think they're both whackjobs), Kurdeman really needs to work on his debating style before going against someone as well versed as O'Riley. The fact he could not look O'Riley in the eye (and O'Riley knew and took advantage of it) was just . . . I can't find the right word, but ackward/painful/embarrasing is in the vicinity of what I'm trying to get at.

OReilly was just making the stuff up. It is hard to debate someone who lies relentlessly on TV. That whole Hans Blix said to me is BS but it effectively put Krugman on the defensive since he could not prove OReilly was lying on the spot. Second why should Krugman ape, and I mean ape, a thug like OReilly. Krugman just might win the Nobel for Economics and he should keep his decorum even if his opponents act like asses.

Krugman should not even have tried to debate a seasoned journalist like O'Reily.

The written word is his field, he should have known better than to go on Bill's turf. Stupidity, brought on by arrogance.

Shame to hear he performed so badly. I read the transcript, and it wasn't that bad.

He didn't perform badly at all. He was rational and that couldn't shine with Bill ranting the whole time. It was just an emotional outburst vs quiet logic. The biggest noise looked like it won on a superficial level, ie without comprehension of the content that was expressed. Klugman won on reason and lost to rant.

Calling O'Reilly a seasoned journalist is a huge mistake.

Another amusing part of that interview is at one point when he was upset with Krugman, O'reilly turned away from him and shoved his mug and book away from him just a tad.

Baloney. Krugman should stay away from TV interview and debates. Clearly, such communicating verbally isn't his cup of tea. He should just stick with newsprint.

unfortunately Krugman didn't win on either, which stinks, because orilly truly needs a good strong socialist perspective on economics? sad Mr Krugman failed.

Here's another one... his show sucks.

Bringing on Krugman (the worst editorialist at the NYT) to O'Riley's show would have made it sucked^2.
