really, debates over christianity make me feel disgusted, and indeed sorry for the party going against christ.
Why? Going against Christ = punishment? Examining ideas=forbidden?
God created hell for the devil, not for people. the reason why people are sent there is because they allow the devil to confuse and control them, thus, making them "possessed of the devil" or at least influenced by his teachings and wrongful pressures he places on people. also....God does not hurt people, he may "punish" or "discipline" them, the same way as a father would for his kids. God simply allows the devil to hurt us if we do not seek him (Jesus Christ).
Wow such a hands off god, its like needlessly leaving a bottomless pit in the middle of your living room to test your toddler. If he happens to disobey your teachings not to go near it.. slips and falls.. well bye bye.. nice knowing you. Compassionate god? I think not. All powerful? not really, an all powerful god would not allow for either the devil or hell to exist.
Once again, God doesn't hurt, he allows the devil to do so. Hell was made for the devil and his followers, not for people, and not for people who have faith in God.

This is because God wants heaven to be a perfect place. God will allow people to be sent to hell, but he will first give us all a chance here on Earth, first. If there were any blemish in heaven (sin), would it be perfect? That's why God said that only people with love (and nothing else) in their hearts can make it to heaven.
Great, only love in your heart eh? Religion doesn't need to exist then. Give us all a chance? The world seems to be a very unfair place for this "test". A parent that allows their children to be sent to hell..is a bad parent. A parent that is ALL KNOWING would know that some are doomed before they even start. and once again, the problem of an all powerful god allowing for hell to exist..
Christianity isn't a religion - it's a relationship with christ. Point made...I'll continue and tell you why. all religions were made up at some point in time by a person who was "enlightened" - Christianity was not. Christianity was brought here by Christ, and before him, there was God himself, who was here forever. In all religions, that one "enlightened" person died...and never came back to life. only Christians have the ability to worship "a living God" - no other God lives. They were all created, and they are all fake.
You could look at christ as someone who was enlightened.. most religions start from a person who considers himself the voice/child of GOD. In other words, not as different as you'd l ike to think. No other religions have resurrection? You should get out more, there are countless religions in the world. All proclaiming to be the true faith. Of course they consider all others to be "fake"..what makes you so sure your religion is more valid then others?
Simply put..like i said in my reply earlier....when there is much confusion about what is right and what is wrong, the end will be near. well...that's confusion right there. all of these "new" beliefs that came to us only a few decades, maybe a couple centuries ago. i don't have much to say about this, but i do believe that the word of God is "unquestionable and immutable."
Of course there is confusion, what is right and wrong to you is the final word isn't it? new beliefs? You mean mormons maybe? Why would they be wrong? I've been to their temple, they seem like good people with good values too, how could they be so misguided? The word of god literally? It has been translated.. retranslated, interpretted countless ways, and yet you call this unquestionable?
...he still does the same thing. certain nations are cursed, certain nations are blessed. God allows a curse to hang above a family or a nation for up to 4 or 5 generations (about 1 to 2 centuries). God is now holding back his wrath for the last days, the 7 days of tribulation....by the way....that's just a personal belief, make of it what you want. personally, i think God has been very easy on the world since Christ...life has been easier (although not EASY at time, but 'EASIER')
Ah i see, god ccreated all these people, allowed all these religions to sprout up..some totally misguided in your view. He will curse those who don't choose the true religion, not that they know they are wrong. Doesnt seem very loving again, and curse? Thats just evil, the world is a harsh place as it is, and allows for suffering, to curse people and make things worse? Thats sadistic. But its ok right? His heathen children must deserve what they get, what a parent. What nations are these? China? India? Maybe we should go on another crusade and beat God into these people
