A co-worker of mine died

I don't care if anybody on here cares...I don't care if anybody even responds. I just need to get this out. I am in mourning, and it hurts.
On the morning of Dec 19th, 2 cars were on their way to work. 2 lanes became one and the GTO tried to overcome the PT Cruiser at 5 MPH faster. GTO hits a slick patch of road, spins out, and hits the PT Cruiser. Both cars run off the road, the PT Cruiser gets the worst of it, slams through a mailbox, fence, and into a couple of trees. The PT Cruiser driver dies from the trauma. The GTO driver lives, with relatively minor injuries.
I know/knew both of the drivers. I never saw either without a smile on their face. One was 25, the other 44 and about to retire. Both were military. Both are/were good men. One stupid decison and their lives were forever altered....hell, everybody that knows/knew them were. We will miss you Keith. May you live forever in the wild blue yonder.
All I ask from anybody is please....please.....don't let the 15 seconds you can save cost you forever....

i've thought that so many times when I wanted to pass someone. the risk is never worth the hurry, and if im so late that 15 seconds makes a difference, youre screwed anyway.

Seriously. People speed for some silly friggin reasons. Going that 5 or 10mph faster isn't going to save you that much time on your typical drive. Know your and your car's limits and take it easy.
