A closer look at "Mad Max" and beyond thunderdome

Everything in this movie seems to be pretty accurate. Wiped of technology societal roles take hold. The keeper of resources, the power, the bartering (which you know is exactly what would happen, ancient tribes still use this system), slave labor, etc.

Religion and faith even play into the movie which I'm sure would happen as well.

Sounds fair.

But where do the lines of being able to defend a community and resources collide?

This movie seems to mimic all kinds of tribe behavior. Resources (food, water, shelter, labor) and who controls it. I really think it is a fairly accurate depection of what could/would happen.

In the movie there are many tribal references in the opening scenes - tatooing, grooming, being accepted into the tribe, etc.

My own theory of the films is that the world had already bounced back and became a veritable utopia. It's just that nobody wanted to tell Australia.
