Kind of an extreme analogy, if using the air cans works for him, let him do it. I don't use anything and my my side is usually open due to constant messing with, and my system doesn't get dusty. I did clean my Zalman heatsink once, but everything else stays pretty clean.

My temps never change - no dust get to anything inside my case - I have a huge 8 x 12 custom made filter that eliminates all dust while allowing plenty of air flow.

one day, my cat was next to my comp, and the temp went up to teh 55-60 area whiel FAH was on... I finally looked at my heatsink, and wammo! DUST EVERYWHERE! The fan was black when i got it, and it was pure gray after i took it off.... So i took a big pouff at it, and dust went flying.... It was fun!!

You can't buy filters that filter enough dirt without restricting airflow to do any good. My case has a filter on the intake and it doesn't do much other than catch cat hair.

That's right. It's a compromise at best:

- Very good filter...less airflow...filter clogs up overtime...heat buildup
- No filter...very good airflow....dust accumulates overtime....heat buildup

Which one do you go with? Can you find middle ground?
