I THINK that this was a great find! :D

<< Annotation
This second edition of Running Linux covers everything you need to understand, install, and use your Linux system, including a comprehensive installation tutorial, complete information on system maintenance, tools for document development and programming, and guidelines for network and Web site administration.
>>

I think that this has something to do w/ it, inspite of this:

<< Format: Paperback, 3rd ed., 730pp.
ISBN: 1402818688
Pub. Date: April 2002
Edition Desc: Bargain
>>

on the same page! WIERD stuff! :D BUT, it DOES say 733pages on EACH Barnes&Noble.com AND AMazon.com

so, WHO knows :D I rekon that I might try this one out! :D wahooooooooo! :D

God Bless

BN.com's return policy is store credit only, incase this is like those annoying Special Edition books.

Looking for a cool 2nd item for free ship? Try here , Sun Tzu's Art of War on audio for $3.98. (I think CD) For those who see the world as your battleground as well as your playground.:D

You can send it back for credit on your credit card. If you return it to a store, then you can only get store credit.

I suggest you guys (YMMV btw) check out the 75% OFF Book chain in your area. Here in Houston that place is always packed and you can get books as new as 2001 there for never more than $5 a pop.

I've gotten so many books there at that price (or lower) that if i add up the retail prices for it i'd have spent in excess of $1,000 already.

Some books i've bought there:

Beginners Guide to System Administration (Linux)
ASP Scripts
DNS/BIND (O'Reilly)
Apache (O'Reilly)
Ultradev Step-by-step
ASP Step-by-step
Java for Dummies
Core PHP Programming
Java 2.0
IIS Administration Guide
Several CCNA and MCSE books
Several Flash 5 books

All at $5 a pop or less.

Btw, they're all brand new (overstock) books so they're as good as buying it anywhere else.

They also sell other typs of books such as Art, Pet, Crafts, Auto, Novels, Childrens, Religous... etc. All for the same low price.

Great deal, thanks!

To make it better, if you have a corporate discount from fatbrain (owned by bn.com), then the deal is even better.

Also, for some reason, they are selling The Art of War for 1/2 off of bn.com's price. Here's my total.

1 $4.45 Pocket PCRef In
Stock:Ships within 24 hours
1 $1.99 The Art of War In
Stock:Ships within 24 hours
1 $6.25 Running Linux In
Stock:Ships within 24 hours
--------------
$12.69 Net Product
$0.00 Gift Wrap
$0.00 Tax
$0.00 Shipping
--------------
$12.69 Total Order Price

Thanks ivan2. I just ordered 5 of these! I worked for a telecommunication company and when I show the webpage of the book to my co-workers (engineers) , they recognized the book, and they can't believe the price! all the persons that I have shown asked me to order an extra one for them! They probably know 80% of the material but they still think its a good book to reference. So this book is highly recommended.

Total - 5 books for $35 (same as one in a regular price) :) :) :)
