A "C" research paper do-able in 2 1/2 days?

Haven't written a paper this long in years. And like always I wait until the last few days before it's due to start. So is it possible or should I just give up now and go play some computer games?

I've written 10 page papers in one evening and made As or high Bs.

Its not hard once you get started.

From your avatar you appear to be Asian, shouldn't be a problem.

He could be one of those stupid lazy asians who plays video games all day. From the sound of his OP, it wouldn't surprise me 😛

Is this a scientific research paper or just a plain old english/history/etc paper?

Also, is this high school or college?

Of course it is.

I wrote a 45 page packet of lesson plans and a summary of research backing them up last year in a 24 hour period. That was a rough night 😛

My first thought was the speed of light, but i guess that would be a lower case c.

Same here. In 2.5 days, if you can't manage better than a C, you haven't been paying attention in the class.

I wrote a 75 page masters thesis in one night starting at 10 p.m. after grilling out and drinking beers. I came home to an e-mail from my advisor saying it had to be on his desk the following morning by 9. Saunter over to the nearest 7-11, buy a case of Dr. Pepper, and crank it out.

Holy crap man, did you actually get your master's?

That's an insane amount to do in a night, especially to make it of any quality. A master's thesis in a night? Seriously?

Assuming he could type 50 words per minute, and 200 words takes up a page he would have finished in 5 hours. If the paper was single spaced, then at 50 words per minute, he would have finished in 10 hours.

Assuming he worked 10-9, thats a page every 10 minutes. No way in hell.

yeah, but did you do all the research then?

nearly all of my college papers were done the night-of--and I was an English major...so I ave about 2 per week. Also had a lot fo Bio papers (the other major), so different type but same story.

That was just my style.

of course, the research (if necessary for a serious term paper) was done in advance, or at least a few days before.

Honestly, though, if you are efficient with your research (a real skill), then you can spend 1/2 to a whole day doing that and outlining or planning the paper. I know I could churn out 10 pages in an evening if I had that foundation, but it all depends on the person.

Heh, there's actually research on this. Seems people are divided into "multi-draft writers" or "single-draft writers"

Nothing wrong with either, really, just different working styles. If you're always a last-minute type, and have succeeded at it, then you're likely a single drafter.

I never got less than a B+ doing this, and I know that's how I roll. If you're only hoping to get a C+ at the last minute...then maybe it ain't your style?
