after he changed the name on his resume. Now, he’s suing for discrimination.

A Black man has filed an employment discrimination lawsuit against a hotel in Detroit, Michigan, alleging the hotel only offered him a job interview after he changed the name on his resume, according to a copy of the lawsuit obtained by CNN.

Dwight Jackson filed the lawsuit against the Shinola Hotel on July 3, alleging he was denied a job when he applied as “Dwight Jackson,” but later offered an interview when he changed his name to “John Jebrowski.”

I got denied applications since the late 60s/70s

They did not have a certain percentage of minority workers and could not hire me as I was white

I went and applied at other places and got a job

When I ran a small PC store around 24 years ago, I had companies buy a lot from me

I spent time on the phone finding out what they needed and did not need

I would beat the quotes others gave them and give the manager extra memory and larger hard drive free

More than a few businesses only hired black Folks which did not bother me at all

When I was in instrument technician, I worked a lot of plant shut downs for upgrades

If you were not Family or married into the Family or good Friends, it was hard to get hired

It has always been this way .... after Vietnam, so many Vietnamese moved to the same Neighborhoods

I had a Friend from Taiwan, his Daddy was a millionare, they all moved to Alief, Texas

All of their Friends moved to the same area... it has always been this way

Deer run with deer.... rabbits run with rabbits .....
