This is rare that i feel like the noob to AT but here it goes. Can somebody tell me where this card fits in to the 6800 line. I think it goes 6800 < 6800GT < 6800GS but im not sure where this guy falls in. Any help would be great.

From that guru3d link it looks like it would perform about like a 6800nu (somestimes better, sometimes worse), but always below a 6800GT and always better than a 6600GT. It is important to note that that one in the guru3d review is clocked higher than the one you linked to.

The way I see it, instead of spending $240 for 2 6800XT's AMIR (if you can even do two rebates), I would just throw in the extra $20-35 on a 7800GT. You can always get another one later when they drop in price.

8 pixel pipelines. So it's like a 6800LE with a higher GPU clock and DDR3 instead of DDR. You have a good chance of unlocking it to 12 or 16 pipes, but less chance of getting two cards that unlock.

EDIT
Specs are all over the place. guru3d says 425Mhz GPU and DDR3, but 10 different 6800XT cards on newegg have GPUs 300-350Mhz. Some have DDR and some DDR3.

espically since a 7800gt will be signifigantly faster than a slied 6800xt.

I was wondering about this myself . . .

Supposedly the eVGA motherboard is junk, which makes me cringe at getting the combo deal, though if some people on here could give some opinions on the board that would be great. =)

I have a Gigabyte 6150 motherboard which is seeming like crap at the moment, crashing my AOE III game and stuff, so I was thinking of upgrading/switching to another motherboard or going to a seperate video card and motherboard set.
