A bit of an Adware problem

So my first Adware problem in a few years and I also can't get rid of it. I've run AVG and Spybot and both find the adware in question, and both claim that the adware is quarantined/deleted, but I still get pop ups. The only real problem is that it uses Internet Explorer, so that means every time I run Steam, then it allows an opening for the adware to pop up (because I only use Firefox). I've tried to fiddle around with the IE security settings at the highest possible setting and I've also tried deleting IE, but it seems like I can't.

So I guess my question is how exactly do I go about deleting/completely blocking IE? I don't use it, I don't need it, and I don't want it.

I don't think there's a way to uninstall or remove internet explorer but you can try google to see if there is.
 
you should be able to remove ie using your windows disc, check under "remove windows components" and look for ie
