ok here is the problem:
I am a junior in high school taking technical entrepreneurship and my business is complete package of a small web site that is made completely to customer specification .
So far business is good i am making about $350 a week, and put about 2 hours of work into a day, my niche is the target market thats how things work out for me

Here come the problem, in the class there is a group of 3 students who also have a business but they offer no maintenance and no host no package nothing, they do the coding... they charge about 2x to 3x of what i charge.

They do well because they are really good friends with the teacher and the teacher gets them jobs.

The teacher spends 75% of class time to them and the rest (25%) towards the rest of the class... my fellow class mates think the 75 should be higher but i don't think so....

So the teacher wants us to make a calender type thing and show him once a week (my day is Thursday)

But i have a feeling if he ever finds out my targeted market, that this information will leak to my "competitors"

By the way, they charged another kid 50$ to download a free template and install it into joomla....

i;m not sure if that counts as a rant...

I really tried to follow what you said, but couldn't. All I've gathered is that your friends charge more and it works for them - maybe their customers see it as a more trustworthy option compared to you?

If you're selling something below the industry average, chances are, there's a reason. You get what you pay for.

sorry for the bad text, well you see I am pretty sure we make about the same. Its not that, what is bothering me is that i feel my teacher may give them an advantage over me... they get jobs via the teacher... i bust my @ss and go and have meeting with clients...
trustworthy... i have been doing this for 3 years with happy customers...
