Pick a nice $50-$100 alluminum case
Keyboard/mouse - ~$40

TOTAL:~$930-$980 depending on which case you picked.
Throw in shipping, and there's a really nice gaming computer for $1000. Better to save your money now and upgrade later. Pick a nice sub-$250 17" LCD monitor, and you're set!

if your getting dfi , get good memory something like tccd or utt bh-5/ch-5 . you might need active cooling.
