Heh. I wasn't aware that any of the parties had shown much sign of intelligence over the past few decades. I've seen more evidence of brains at the typical fraternity party.

So let me get this right. My modem consists of a C.P.U. and a chip that plugs into it, I can place more memory in it it will run faster, but if i use DDR2 It has a higher capacity which alows me to have better performance then anyone using DDR, and my HDDDDDD is where information is stored including my IP address which the goverment uses to track me, you can hack the IP from the Hard drive but i must figure that out by myself.

Does that cover it.

Btw, what kind of chip do you have, Intel or Celeron?

Dorito, but some times will purchase a Pringles.

Edit: was going to update my Profile but it wouldn't be worth the effort. I am using 2 Athlon chips in my C.P.U.s at home. Planning to get another chip (4400+) for my empty C.P.U.

No, no, you're all reading it wrong.
"Beginner's guide to computer hardware."

That doesn't mean it's a guide FOR beginners. Look at where the possessive is in the sentence - "beginner's." That signfies that a beginner created the guide - as in, "A guide to computer hardware, written by a beginner."
Duh.

I can't wait to get some DDR2 memory for my Pentium Chip! My CPU will be really fast now! All you guys with DDR better upgrade!

I never understood why people were talking about different chips... there are only 3!!!

This X2 or P4 stuff is just B.S.!!!

My new Noob guide for buying computers:
Buy a Pentium... with DDR2 memory... that's the best!
(What kind of Pentium... it doesn't matter, just go with the cheapest I guess...)

That's all they need to know!

I wrote an extremely long email going through her "guide" line by line. I found a mistake in almost every single line. I recommended that she either remove the article completely, or do some more research and fix her numerous errors...

I sent it to a co-worker of mine ... he was taking the site very seriously and asking questions. I had to explain it was pretty much complete misinformation, and he still didn't seem to "get it."

ahhhh ... why did I set myself up for that one :(

isn't that...a motherboard?

Truthfully, I think I learned more on the Magic School Bus explaining RAM to me.

Felt a strange compulsion to send a helpful email and included a link to this thread so that the retard could learn about CPU's Busses Chips and why DDR,DDR2 and DDR 3 are not interchangeable....so hopefully we will get this person crying on this thread soon!

I haven't laughed that hard for a while. Anyone have some tips on hacking my HDD Disk Drive's IP address?
