im watching this for like the 1000 time and i know its die hard and logic isnt supposed to come into play, but its supposed to take place at national airport in DC...y dont they just re-route all the planes to BWI,or the other DC airport?...or the philly airport...there are so many around there...y did they pick a city with so many airports to do the movie?
 
perhaps because the main airport doesn't have contact w/ the planes.

yes, I suppose they could have gone to other airports and warned the planes...but then we could never hear some famous quotes from mcclane.

DON'T THINK ABOUT IT!

If you follow that rule you should be fine.

That being said there was A mIllion other things that bugged me about that movie!

yes but communication from other airports werent cut off ...plus they were allowed to talkto the planes for 2 minutes first

That's the first rule with 90% of movies...In HOMR (BABF22) Homer sees a popular comedy and, with his inflated intelligence, notices all the plot holes in it.

He's the *only* one not having a good time...
 
they rerouted every plane that had enough feul to wherever they could.. the only ones in the air were the ones that didn't have enough feul
 
In the movie, they said both airports were snowed out and already at capacity...the black guy and the main tower dude says it, if i recall
 
hehe and if you look at the phone Bruce Willis is talking on in the begining of the movie it says Pacific Bell hehhehe someone messed up.
