Actually, it'd be the equivalent of storing a Jetta Wagon or Focus Wagon. Boring, inoffensive wagons.

In the heart of the rust belt, too! This thing must have been vacuum sealed inside a building or something. Those early Japanese cars are not known for their longevity and resistance to rust.

Cool for the novelty, I guess...

However, as much as cars have advanced since then, you'd be hurting for utility...if you could bring yourself to drive it anyway

Now, if it were something a hair cooler...like a Mustang or a Z car

Yeah, storing an aztek is more like storing a pile of dog poo for 30 years.

Guys guys maybe the owner died and was rotting in his/her giant hillside mansion for 30 years and they just got this car out of the garage. Did you ever think of that, huh guys?

Or maybe a guy bought it and just didnt drive it much and sold it to a museum.

I'd bet more along those lines, since it's exactly what's described in the auction.

They rusted, quite badly.

EVERYTHING on these babies went on forever with minimal fuss -- but they rusted out from under you.

I bought one used for $425 with 123,000 miles on it (stick and it had a trailer hitch, no wood trim). I replaced the clutch for about $100 from the get go, then never did ONE other thing to it, even the brakes, and sold it to a garage two years later for $70 with 207,000 on the clock.

I didn't change the oil for the last 30,000 miles. I used it for my work as a PI in bad neighborhoods. I needed a car I wouldn't have to die for. It never let me down once.

Kinda hard to see 'em when they're coming at you from behind, eh?
