Here's a pic from the track meet that I shot today with a Nikon D300 and AF-S 300mm f/2.8. What an epic, epic lens. The carbon fiber hood alone costs more than most consumer lenses do
Reading the title, why would anyone want to run the 100M hurdles with a Nikon 300D and a Nikkor 300mm. You could fall and break it and the bouncing against your chest would hurt. Jeez.
He meant that the Apache would have had first strike not giving RPG man a chance.
How did we get here?
Anyway, I love them 300 2.8's. Canon said that their 300 2.8 has the fastest AF in their lineup. I'm sure that's true about Nikon's system as well. You were shooting with the top gun.
I've only shot with these on paid shoots. Then I reminded myself I'll probably never get a chance to afford one.
Those are some really great lenses. I shot several baseball games and a football game with a Canon 300mm f/2.8 IS. Easily had the fastest focus motor I've ever used in a lens.
