And in NY at least it will probably be the size of a large walk-in closet, and the bedroom will fold down off the wall.

I didn't think some of LA's prices were actually too bad considering you can easily pay $1000+/month in Ann Arbor, MI for some places. But then I thought: which $1000/mo apartment is gonna look better? Hahaha.

Makes the last apartment I shared with a buddy in the U.P. pretty cheap: we split $300/month (two bedroom). It wasn't a dump either... kinda old, but definitely not a dump. Unfortunately, I don't think I have any pictures from the place though.

And holy shit! How much Pabst was trucked into Williamsburg in the last decade to drive the rent up 1,780% in such a small amount of time?

😱

LA is lower than I expected.
NY was about what I expected.

I learned that there is a place in Brooklyn named Dumbo, and it is expensive.

this

Dumbo is not a great name for a town

also all of NY has high rent, I live 300 or so miles west of NYC in the boonies, rent is still 1000+ for a decent place
