_____Max capacities for "Longitudinal Recording" HDs?_____

If I remember correctly, about 320GB or 400GB was the maximum capacity for HDs that used "Longitudinal Recording".

Does anyone know what the max capacities of these "LR" drives were?

mmm, I think 400GB but I am not sure... while it matters from an engineering perspective, its not really an issue for the customer... its like the nvidia 512bit bus vs 256bit bus + GDDR5 of ATI... although I guess some people will remember those specific details, i do not, sorry.

References a 500GB longitudinal 3.5" drive from hitachi. Not sure if it was the largest, but at least that gives you a lower-limit on the largest.
